Smash cakes are becoming increasingly popular in the UK following their success in America. The idea is that they are just for the birthday guest of honour, often a cupcake design and sometimes presented alongside the main cake which is shared with the rest of the guests. Alternatively they can be for an individual photoshoot. Either way the images of the cake being demolished are priceless!
